Mountain View Moves On To State

by Transition Hoops Report

Mountain View qualified for the state tournament with an impressive win over Borah.  Senior Cameron Howard (6'2 SG) was really impressive.  He is one of the leading scorers in the conference because he can shoot the 3, pull up for mid range jumpshots, or finish through contact.  Down the stretch he is really valuable because he is a great free throw shooter.  He would be a stud in the NWAC.

Junior Jalen Galloway  (6'6 PF) made a huge run to start the second half hitting a 3, pull up jumper, transition bucket, and a back to the basket score.  His ability to score in so many ways make him a very intriguing prospect.

Borah was led by sophomore Ellis Magnuson (6'0 PG) and senior Max Reitman (6'1 SG). Magnuson is a strong guard and is at his best attacking the basket.  Reitman is still hobbling a little from an injury but he can still shoot the lights out.  He has a good feel for moving without the ball to get open looks and is deadly from beyond the arc.  He is also a nice NWAC prospect.
