Boise Begins With Win Over Middleton (Idaho)

by Transition Hoops Report

Boise started off the season on a high note beating a strong and physical Middleton team by 20 points.  Both teams played with a lot of energy.

Two Boise High players stood out.  Lucas Centeno (6'3 SG 2018) showed a lot of versatility on both ends.  He knocked down several 3's, got to the rim and finished, and displayed a nice mid range game. Defensively, Centeno's length and athleticism allows him to guard interior and exterior players.  He battles for loose balls, blocks shots, and gets a lot of deflections.

Paul Pennington (5'10 PG 2018) makes Boise go.  He is a great ball handler that has a terrific feel for setting teammates up for easy shots.  Pennington is a really crafty finisher and has a knack for always coming up with loose balls and steals.  Both of those prospects make game winning plays.
