The Constant Surge of Big Games
The double-doubles were flowing once again this past week as numerous prospects put up big-time numbers especially on the glass. There were even a few teammates who joined one another in posting double-doubles helping their respective teams earn important victories.
A handful of players are solidifying their names as “News and Notes” regulars by posting eye-popping numbers on a consistent and regular basis, and this week was no different for those talented prospects where scoring was in spades, as well as back-to-back double-doubles.

West Side’s Peyton Brown scored 27 points as his team took down Marsh Valley.
Horseshoe Bend’s Gavin Miller notched a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds to help his team top Idaho City.
Homedale’s Connor Carter dropped 26 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the double-double in a close win over Weiser.
St. Maries’ Kiefer Gibson went for the double-double 12 points and 10 rebounds in their win over Coeur d’Alene Charter.
Middleton’s Reece Robinett enjoyed a double-double performance with 10 points, 10 rebounds as his team lost in overtime against Mountain Home.
Kellogg’s Toby Colburn had a big double-double 18 points and 17 rebounds and led his team past Timberlake.
Firth’s Connor Burkhart was hot shooting the ball and ended with 30 points to lift his team past Salmon.
Bonneville’s Dillon Sorensen went for a big double-double 18 points and 17 rebounds to secure the win over Twin Falls.
Ririe’s Andy Bowden had a game-high 25 points behind solid free throw shooting despite his team’s loss to West Jefferson in overtime.
Eagle’s Talmage Clark was a beast on the boards grabbing 16 and adding seven points in his team’s loss to Timberline.
Centennial’s Delveion Jackson was in double-double fashion going for 17 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Boise.
Coeur d’Alene’s Joey Naccarato had a double-double 20 points and 12 rebounds but it wasn’t enough as his team dropped one to Big Sky (MT).
Rockland’s Karson Lloyd finished with a game-high 27 points as his team knocked off Watersprings.
Kimberly’s Zach Wright put up a double-double 12 points and 10 rebounds, but his team fell to Snake River.
Riverstone’s Andres Garcia had a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. in their win over Victory Charter.
Ambrose’s Travis Yenor scored 25 points while grabbing four rebounds as his team took down Wilder.
Genesis Prep’s Caleb Symons popped off for 25 points in his team’s big win over Clark Fork.
Mullan’s Gryphon Todd went for the double-double 22 points and 14 rebounds as his team loss big to Coeur d’Alene Charter.
Carey’s Joe Parke went 12-for-20 shooting and ended with 28 points while teammate Derrick Baird enjoyed a double-double performance 10 points and 12 rebounds to get the win over Lighthouse Christian.
Murtaugh’s Adan Saucedo went off for 35 points behind 10 3-pointers as his team took it to Bliss and got the win.
Hansen’s Dalton Colson recorded a triple-double with 14 points, 14 rebounds and ten blocks in a win over Community School.
Sandpoint’s Davan Norris cashed in four 3-pointers to end with 34 points and his team got the victory over Priest River.
Everett’s Chris Bell netted 26 points as his team clipped Oak Harbor at home.
Marysville-Pilchuck’s Josh Bevan hit the 30-point mark despite his team losing to Stanwood.
Shorewood Christian’s Jovi Sevaleaki cashed in 28 points as his team knocked off Puget Sound Adventist Academy. Sevaleaki put up 25 points as his team went past the century mark in their win over Quilcene.
Auburn Mountainview’s Ryan Lacey scored 27 points as his team beat Bonney Lake. Lacey led his team in scoring again as they defeated Sumner finishing with 25 points.
Renton’s Shandon Powell led all scorers with 30 points as they knocked off Tyee.
Tyee’s Sejdulah Kahurevic paced his team with 25 points in their loss to Renton.
Glacier Peak’s Bobby Martin went for 28 points in their win over Meadowdale.
Monroe’s Trenton Newhouse had a big game despite his team’s loss to Mariner. Newhouse scored 35 points.
Bellevue’s Michael Henn was the leading scorer for his team with 27 points as they won big over Sammamish.
Lakeside’s Isiah Brown was up to his typical high scoring ways adding another 40-plus point performance with 43 points in his team’s win over Chief Sealth.
Roosevelt’s Jonathan Lang had 25 points in his team’s win over Franklin.
Wilson’s David Jenkins Jr. had 27 points and guided his team past North Thurston by one-point for the win.
Jenkins’ teammate Emmitt Matthews Jr has reportedly received an offer from Montana.
North Thurston’s Wes Reynolds had 26 points in the loss to Wilson.
Capital’s Travis Miller had a big game going for 36 points, but it wasn’t enough to get the win against Mount Tahoma.
Peninsula’s Austin Kingman and JaQuori McLaughlin posted double-doubles in their win over Auburn. Kingman was the game’s leading scorer with 24 points while also grabbing 11 rebounds. McLaughlin added 13 points and 12 assists.
Pasco’s Sebastian Gutierrez had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds in their win over Kennewick.
Kennewick’s Kafaya Bugal and Sam Szendre each had double-doubles with 14 points and 10 rebounds in their loss to Pasco.
Chiawana’s Andrey Voloshin led all scorers with 27 points while teammate Jalen King had a tidy double-double with 21 points and 16 rebounds to guide their team past Hanford. King followed up his double-double by continuing to pound the glass as he snagged 17 rebounds to go with 8 points and seven blocks in his team’s loss to Walla Walla.
Hanford’s Jacob Sivonen had a big game despite the loss going for 22 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks.
Richland’s Steven Beo went large in his team’s win over Walla Walla ending with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Beo was in double-double fashion yet again in his team’s win over Pasco. Beo finished with 18 points, 12 assists, and seven rebounds.
Prosser’s Nate Brown chalked up more rebounds than points finishing with 19 rebounds and 16 points for the double-double.
Kiona-Benton’s Darrel Wheeler scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the double-double and the win over River View. Wheeler went for the double-double again in his team’s win over Connell. Wheeler had 14 points and 17 rebounds.
Freeman’s Ryan Maine dropped a 30 point performance in his team’s come-from-behind win over Lakeside.
Lakeside’s Cameron Gray put in 32 points and handed out eight assists in the loss to Freeman.
Clarkston’s Tre'von Allen tossed in 31 points to beat Cheney.
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague’s Wyatt Roettger netted 25 points as his team knocked off Wilbur-Creston.
Curlew’s Daniel Tresham poured in 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as his team beat Odessa-Harrington.
Almira/Coulee-Hartline’s Payton Nielson led all scorers going for 28 points in a win over Northport.
Wellpinit’s Brandon Flett had a double-double 20 points and 14 rebounds to help his team get past Inchelium.
Garfield-Palouse’s Matt Holbrook had 26 points as his team took down Pomeroy.
River View’s Baley Westberg registered a big double-double going for 26 points and 12 rebounds against Wahluke in the win. Teammate Mario Jaramillo add a double-double too with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Connell’s Gabe Tolrud went for the double-double 20 points and 11 rebounds in his team’s win over Royal.
Royal’s Kaden Jenks had a game-high 26 points in his team’s loss to Connell.
St. George’s Collin Cremers had a big game going for 28 points and eight rebounds including the go-ahead basket with 30 seconds left to defeat Lind-Ritzville/Sprague.
Pullman’s Jake Cillay ended with a double-double 15 points, 10 rebounds with six assists as well as his team beat West Valley.
Davenport’s Jaden Flett was dominant on the boards finishing with 16 rebounds while adding 11 points in his team’s win over Kettle Falls.
Almira/Coulee-Hartline’s Peyton Nielson added 14 points and 16 rebounds for the double-double and the win over Curlew.
Odessa-Harrington’s Colt Sanford posted a nice double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead his team past Northport.
Selkirk’s Jacob Couch put up 13 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double and win over Columbia.
Lakes’ Rakeem Hughey went off for 33 points even though his team loss on the road to Auburn.
Issaquah’s Trevon Ary-Turner paced his team with 30 points as they handily took down Inglemoor.
Woodinville’s Tony Miller was at it again in the scoring category as his team defeated Newport at home. Miller finished with 30 points.
Chief Sealth’s Peyton Dickerson led the charge as he dropped in 27 points to lift his team past Ingraham.
Seattle Prep’s Aaron Nettles scored an impressive 31 points while teammate Collin Welp added 26 points to guide their team to a win over Eastside Catholic.
Franklin’s Keiron Goodwin led all scorers with 29 points as his team fell to O’Dea.
O’Dea’s Quin Barnard put in 27 points to help propel his team past Franklin in the win.
Southridge’s Gabe Vorheis posted a game-high 26 points as his team beat Hanford.
Shadle Park’s Tanner Groves had a nifty double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds in their win over Central Valley.
Mt. Spokane’s Sam Stiles led the way with 28 points to help his team secure the win over North Central.
Logan’s Rylan Jones put up 25 points and added 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and five steals despite his team’s loss to Juan Diego.
Davis’ Landon Swartz had 25 points and grabbed five rebounds while teammate Ben Rigby posted a double-double 11 points, 12 rebounds with five assists in their win over Syracuse.
Bonneville’s Noah Atagi put up a huge double-double with 22 points and 17 rebounds despite the loss to Box Elder.
Viewmont’s Ben Barrett was a beast ending with a double-double 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Hunter’s Mckay Meidlinger posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in their close win over Syracuse.
Highland’s Rick Schmidt had 23 points and 11 rebounds for the double-double while teammate Ryan Lambson was also in double-double fashion with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Troy’s Sean Opland chalked up a huge number in the scoring category going for 32 points in his team’s win over Noxon.
Butte Central’s Nate McGree posted 25 points in a win over Stevensville.
Thompson Falls’ Trais Hoisington was on fire hitting a high percentage of his shots to finish with 27 points and a win over Plains.
Forsyth’s Tristan Rodgers poured in 31 points as his team took a loss to St. Labre.
Malta’s Nate Costin hit the 30-point mark as his team took down Harlem.
Custer-Hysham’s Jamison Ehlers scored 25 points as his team cruised by Fromberg.
Hardin’s Darnell Lefthand led all scorers with 25 points as his team defeated Glendive.
Livingston’s Ladan Ricketts spearheaded his team with 33 points to get the win over Havre.
Poplar’s Connor Ogle led his team with 25 points as they topped Wolf Point.
Cut Bank’s Seth Umsberg scored 25 points as his team cruised past Fairfield.
Broadview-Lavina’s Scott Bymaster dropped 26 points to help his team win big over Fromberg.
Hobson-Moore-Judith Gap’s CJ Stevenson posted 27 points as his team dropped one to Melstone.
Melstone’s Brody Grebe paced all scorers with 28 points as his team topped Hobson-Moore-Judith Gap.
Harlowton’s Garret Woldstad hit the 30-point mark despite his team’s loss to Plenty Coups.
Dutton-Brady’s Shawn Cunnington scored 28 points, but it wasn’t enough as his team lost to Sunburst.
Culbertson’s Chris Azure was one-point shy of the 30-point mark with 29 points in his team’s win over Plentywood.
Victor’s Colt Neville had a monstrous double-double with 29 points and 18 rebounds to help his team get the win over Drummond.
Lincoln’s Logan Fuit tallied 27 points in his team’s win over St. Regis while Brock Cantrell matched Fuit and finished with 27 points as well in his team’s loss to Lincoln.
Arlee’s Tyler Tanner exploded for a game-high 30 points in his team’s win over Clark Fork.
Charlo’s Dugan Runkel posted a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds in his team’s narrow loss to Plains.
Deer Lodge’s Brandon Porter dropped in 25 points to lift his team past St. Ignatius.
Plenty Coups’ Kobe Gutierrez put up 25 points in his team’s lopsided win over Reed Point-Rapelje.
Melstone’s Brody Grebe scored 26 of his team’s 61 points as they cruised past Ekalaka.
Simms’ Logan Rushon had 26 points as his team won in a close fashion over Power.
Drummond’s Mark Estes lit things up with 26 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double despite his team’s loss to Valley Christian.
Bigfork’s Jonathan Landon had a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds in his team’s win over Whitefish.
Stillwater Christian’s Isaac Neumann splashed home 27 points in his team’s double overtime thriller and win over Plains.
Billings West’s Braydon Deming was out in front with 29 points as his team defeated Hardin.
Frazer’s Brayden Jackson went big scoring 36 points as his team handled Froid-Lake easily.
West Linn’s Payton Pritchard did not disappoint with a 25 points effort as his team won big over Tualatin. Pritchard was a key factor yet again for his team going for 30 points in their win over Tigard.
Mountain View’s Davis Holly poured in 28 points and was able to guide his team past Summit in a big Intermountain Conference matchup.
Irrigon’s Fredy Vera led the way with 28 points as his team won big over Culver.
Gillette’s Kain Morehead was in double-double fashion yet again, this time going for 15 points and 11 rebounds in their win over Laramie.
Cody’s Blake Hinze went big with 32 points and 8 rebounds despite his team’s loss to Lander Valley.
Mountain View’s Alex Houskeeper was the leading man in the scoring category with 26 points while also adding three rebounds in his team’s loss to Star Valley.
Douglas’ Eric Jamerman had 25 points in his team’s win over Buffalo.
Wheatland’s Thain Koger posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds in his team’s win over Rawlins.
Worland’s Hoyt Nicholas put his team on his shoulders once again. Nicholas chalked up a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds in his team’s win over Douglas, and followed that performance up with a 25 point effort in a win against Newcastle.
