The End of Season Push
End of the season tournaments are right around the corner as teams are jockeying for position while the top prospects are trying to spearhead their squads to the promise land.
There were exciting back-to-back performances from some of the Northwest Region’s best players as they looked to cement themselves as the top dog for their respective teams in this crucial part of the season. Forty point games and huge double-doubles were on tap yet again, as it seems the big-time performances just keep on coming. Expect even more as these talented players and their teams look to capitalize on their momentum to finish strong in February.

Foster’s Muca Leigh scored 25 points in his team’s loss at Lindbergh.
Mount Tahoma’s Destin Hicks-Armstrong put up a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds to defeat Shelton.
Foss’ Roberto Gittens drained seven 3-pointers en route to a 36 point performance as his team knocked off North Thurston.
Auburn Mountainview’s Ryan Lacey poured in 25 points in his team’s win over Lakes.
Woodinville’s Tony Miller was atop the scoring category for his team with 27 points in their win over Skyline. Miller went for 27 points again in a win over Eastlake.
Skyline’s Kellen Przybyishi led all scorers with 31 points in the loss to Woodinville.
Lakeside’s Isiah Brown put up 28 points in his team’s ten point win over Ingraham. Brown upped the scoring production to his familiar 40-point mark going for 41 points as his team beat Spanaway Lake. Brown hit the box score again with an impressive scoring number going for 34 points in his team’s win over Roosevelt.
Roosevelt’s Jonathan Lang splashed home 40 points as his team defeated Chief Sealth.
Bellarmine Prep’s Malachi Flynn led his team with 31 points as they clinched their 4A Narrows League title winning 15 of their past 16 games.
Wilson’s David Jenkins Jr. scored 30 points including the game-winning layup with 8 seconds left to defeat Foss.
Capital’s Travis Miller hit for a game-high 26 points in their win over Central Kitsap.
Tumwater’s Jacob Gibbons scored 25 points in his team’s lopsided win against W.F. West.
Richland’s Landon Radliff had 26 points en route to his team’s win over Southridge.
Hanford’s Jacob Sivonen put up a double-double 18 points and 13 rebounds despite his team’s loss to Walla Walla. Sivonen was at it again going for 23 points and 12 rebounds in his team’s win over Pasco.
Kamiakan’s Garrett Paxton had a double-double with a game-high 22 points and 10 rebounds in his team’s win against Kennewick.
Chiawana’s Jalen King posted a strong double-double 10 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks to get the win over Pasco.
Prosser’s Scott Blakney tossed in a double-double with 11 points and 18 rebounds as his team clipped Toppenish.
Kiona-Benton’s Darrel Wheeler had a huge game going for 24 points and 16 rebounds in his team’s win over Wahluke.
Connell’s Gabe Tolrud put up a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds in their win over Tri-Cities Prep.
Liberty Christian’s Chris Kelly and Colton’s Grant Kinzer both scored 25 points in Colton’s win over Liberty Christian. Kelly posted a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds in their win over St. John-Endicott
Rogers’ KJ Hassett poured in 26 points despite his team’s close loss to Mead.
Richland’s Steven Beo had a big-time performance going for 30 points, 9 rebounds and four assists as his team took down Kamiakin. Beo followed up that performance going for 27 points and nine rebounds in their win over Kennewick.
Southridge’s Trevor McLaughlin posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds as his squad won over Chiawana.
Kennewick’s Kafaya Bugal scored 26 points as his team beat Hanford by double-digits. Bugal tallied a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds in his team’s loss to Richland.
Walla Walla’s Noah Porter added a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds to get the win over Pasco.
University’s Austin Dill contributed a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds in their win over Mead.
Shadle’s Tanner Groves had 20 points and 14 rebounds for the double-double and win over Rogers.
Clover Park’s Jermemia Morris fell one point shy of the 30-point mark in a tough battle as his team dropped their game to River Ridge by a bucket.
Mercer Island’s Rainer McDonald went for 29 points as his team clipped Lake Washington.
Cascade’s Isaiah Gotell posted 26 points in his team’s narrow win over Jackson.
Marysville-Pilchuck’s Josh Bevan exploded for 41 points in his team’s win over Everett.
Cleveland’s CJ Elleby dropped 25 points in their win over Franklin.
Franklin’s Keiron Goodwin was a force yet again and went for 25 points in his team’s loss to Cleveland.
Rainier Beach’s Sam Cunliffe excelled scoring 25 points in a high profile matchup and win over Garfield.
West Seattle’s Nate Pryor hit the 30-point mark against Seattle Prep as they slipped by with the win.
Cascade’s Tanner Hawkins posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in his team’s win over Meadows Valley.
Blackfoot’s Jarod Greene dropped 25 points in their close loss to Century.
Post Falls’ Max McCullough went big for a game-high 29 points as his team took down Moscow.
Grace’s Talon Nace netted 25 points as his team defeated Challis.
Dietrich’s Jake Smith scored a game-high 27 points to lead his team past Carey for their 15th win in a row.
Butte County’s Cougar Coburn put up a game-high 26 points as his team lost a close one to West Jefferson.
Capital’s Cameron Daron had a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds in their win over Boise High.
Boise’s Evan Henning added a double-double 12 points and 10 rebounds despite his team’s loss to Capital.
Timberline’s Brock Rice led all scorers with 28 points while teammate Josh Clayton turned in a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds in their win over Meridian.
Liberty Charter’s Michael Wachsmuth poured in 34 points to help propel his team to victory over Idaho City.
Riverstone’s Andres Garcia enjoyed a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds in their win over Compass.
Cascade’s Tanner Hawkins dropped in 26 points as his team bested Tri-Valley.
Rigby’s Connor Geisler knocked down eight 3-pointers en route to a 25 point performance helping his team get the win over Century.
Capital’s Cameron Godeny posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds to lift his team past Nampa.
Coeur d’Alene’s Joey Naccarato was in double-double fashion yet again going for 13 points and 10 rebounds in their win over Moscow. Naccarato was instrumental in his team’s win over Lewiston as he scored 31 points.
Clark Fork’s Spencer Jeffres added a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds in his team’s loss to Lakeside. Teammate Hunter Boudousquie joined him with a double-double of his own going for 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Minico’s Matthew Brumley scored 25 points despite his team’s loss to Preston.
Horseshoe Bend’s Gavin Miller registered a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds despite his team dropping a close one to Cascade.
Shoshone’s Jose Regalado drained eight 3-pointers and finished with 27 points as his team knocked off Camas County.
Weiser’s Bridger Bumgarner chalked up a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds as they took care of Emmett.
Ambrose’s Travis Yenor dropped 29 points in a lopsided win over Horseshoe Bend.
Post Falls’ Jake Pfennings finished with a double-double 17 points and 11 rebounds as his team took down Lake City.
North Idaho Christian’s Garrett White had a nice double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds while adding four assists in their win over Lakeside.
Lighthouse Christian’s Bryce Kostelecky recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebound in his team’s win over Bliss.
Wendell’s Johnny Lancaster went big scoring 32 points as his team got by Kimberly.
Ridgeview’s George Mendazona put up 31 points including seven 3-pointers in his team’s loss to Bend High. Mendazona scored 29 points with 6 assists and four rebounds in his team’s loss to Summit.
South Medford’s Conor Carroll scored 27 points in his team’s win over Sheldon.
Sunset’s Zach Niebergail poured in 30 points in his team’s loss to Westview.
La Pine’s Ian Johnson was dominant with 25 points, 9 steals and seven assists in their win over Glide.
North Lake’s Jubal Pierson notched a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds while also blocking two shots in their loss to Hosanna Christian. Pierson led North Lake again with 24 points and 16 rebounds as his team got past Paisley.
Amity’s Jamie Stull was impressive again with 28 points in his team’s big win over Dayton.
Ridgeview’s 6-foot-8 Garret Albrecht finished with a double-double 19 points and 13 rebounds in his team’s loss to Summit.
Molalla’s Jonathon Gengler scored 31 points in his team’s win over Madras.
Jesuit’s Cameron Parker stepped up with 25 points in their win over Sunset.
Grant’s Nate Bradford had 25 points despite his team falling to Franklin.
David Douglas’ Charles Jones lifted his team with 37 points as they toppled Barlow.
Jefferson’s Geno West dropped a cool 33 points in his team’s loss to Roosevelt.
Weber’s Connor Shaw tallied a double-double with 15 points and 12 assists in their loss to Sky View.
Davis’ Jarett Gardner dropped an impressive stat line with 28 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and five steals to lift his team past Viewmont.
Layton’s Julian Blackmon scored 25 points as his team knocked off Hunter.
Syracuse’s Andrew Carlson put up 28 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as his team edged West.
Bountiful’s Austin Parkinson netted 25 points despite his team dropping one to Woods Cross.
Logan’s Rylan Jones filled it up in the box score going for 11 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and seven steals in their win over Morgan.
Weber’s Spencer Campbell put up a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in their win over Northridge.
Sky View’s Bryce Mortenson had a huge game going for 26 points and 11 rebounds in the win over Mountain Crest.
Woods Cross’ Jordan Lewis and Trevin Knell both topped the scoring category with 28 points apiece as they dropped one to Box Elder.
Stillwater Christian’s Isaac Neumann was the leading man for his team in scoring ending with 25 points as his team clipped Eureka.
Helena’s Ragen Shein and Taylor England each put up double-doubles as Shein went for 22 points and 12 rebounds while England had 16 points and 10 rebounds in their win over Sentinel. The 6-7 Senior played big yet again as he knocked down 29 points and had a game-winning block to help his team hold on to victory over Big Sky.
Havre’s Dane Warp dropped in 27 points as his team lost by just one point to Great Falls.
Great Falls’ Brendan Howard put in 27 points of his own in his team’s win over Havre.
Corvallis’ Chase Jessop scored all but 13 of this team’s point going for a game-high 26 points in his team’s loss to Anaconda. Jessop hit the 26 point mark again behind six 3-pointers as his team fell to Florence
Miles City’s Gavin Gundlach scored 29 points won in a close game over Glendive.
Glendive’s Jarod Ashce put in 25 points of his own despite his team’s loss to Miles City.
Fromberg’s Levi Wilm hit the 30 point mark in his team’s loss to Plenty Coups.
Frazer’s Saunder St. Marks led his team with 28 points in their big win over Saco-Whitewater-Hinsdale.
Lustre Christian’s Michele Capasso scored 28 points in his team’s narrow win against Scobey.
Melstone’s Brody Grebe tossed in 25 points as his team walked away victorious against Wibaux.
Lone Peak’s Eddie Starz had 27 points despite his team’s loss to Gardiner.
St. Regis’ Brock Cantrell-Fields went for 40 points (19 points in the fourth quarter), but it wasn’t enough to get his team past Noxon.
Billings Senior’s Braxton Haws scored 27 points to lift his team past Billings Central.
Malta’s Allen Williamson dropped in 25 points as his squad took down Wolf Point.
Cut Bank’s Seth Omsberg hit for 25 points as his team defeated Harlem by 10 points.
Plenty Coups’ Joshua Wilson added 25 points to his team’s final score as they defeated Broadview-Lavina.
Broadview-Lavina’s Scott Bymaster registered 31 points in the loss to Plenty Coups.
Broadus’ Seth Bayles eclipsed the 30 point mark with 38 points as his team dropped one to Northern Cheyenne.
Saco-Whitewater-Hinsdale’s Trace Simonson added 25 points in his team’s large victory over Nashua.
Chester-Joplin-Inverness’s Cory Richter guided his team past Turner with a 32 point performance.

Thompson Falls’ Trais Hoisington scored 26 points with 18 of his points coming in the first half as his team fell to Hamilton.
Central’s Nicholas Fraley posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to Gillette.
East’s Erik Oliver went for 25 points and five rebounds despite his team’s loss to Sheridan.
South’s Isaiah Dicks tallied a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds as his team bested Laramie.
Cody’s Blake Hinze paced his team with 27 points as they defeated Mountain View.

Worland’s Hoyt Nicholas was huge for his team yet again in back-to-back games with consecutive double-doubles. In a win over Rawlins, Nicholas went for a head-turning 34 points and 21 rebounds. Nicholas backed up that superb performance with 38 points and 12 rebounds in their win over Glenrock.
