Prospects Take Boise Showcase

From Eagle High School, the Boise Showcase brought in prospects from around the state of Idaho and parts of Oregon and Washington as over 50 players showcased their talent.

Class of 2016

Mason Baker (5’11 PG Skyline HS, ID) – played at a great tempo all weekend long.  Baker is a great shooter that knows how to get himself open off the dribble or moving without the ball.  He has a very high basketball IQ to go with his high skill set.


Jymon Garretson (5’11 PG Mountain Home HS, ID) – Garretson has a nice burst of speed.  He is capable of scoring at all 3 levels when he is patient and lets the game come to him. 

Logan Sand (6’2 SG Baker HS, OR) – Sand is a smart player that understands how to use screens and move without the ball to get open looks.  He is a good shooter with range beyond the 3 point line. 

Davian Sobotta-Clavon (6’0 PG Clarkston HS, WA) – Sobotta-Clavon plays with good balance and has flashes of greatness.  He does a really good job of getting to his mid range game and is a solid finisher. 

Damen Thacker (6’0 SG Mountain View HS, ID) – very strong with great speed.  Thacker plays extremely hard and attacks the basket with a lot of power.  He is also a very strong on ball defender. 

Class of 2017

JP Elkin (6’3 PF Buhl HS, ID) – really competes and battles for loose balls.  Elkin is very coachable and makes game winning plays by making the extra pass and rebounding out of his range. 

Sloan Kruger (5’11 PG Capital HS, ID) – Kruger is a good shooter with deep range.  He is athletic and can get to the rim and finish and is good in transition. 

Justin Saunders (6’1 SG Capital HS, ID) – is a really strong player with a terrific mid range game.  Saunders has a great feel and high basketball IQ.  He can score the ball in a lot of ways. 

AJ Woodruff (5'10 SG Mountain Home HS, ID) - a tough guard, Woodruff caught our attention with how hard he played. He also knocked down some shots.

Class of 2018

Drew Meyerhoeffer (6’2 SG Twin Falls HS, ID) - very active, Meyerhoeffer showed the abitlity to get to the basket and knock down the open 3.  

Preston Meyerhoeffer (5’11 PG Twin Falls HS, ID) - did a solid job from the point guard position all weekend finding open teammates.

Class of 2019

Jake Poulton (5’9 SG Columbia HS, ID) – Poulton has great balance.  He has a tight handle on the ball and does a nice job of getting separation off the dribble to set up his mid range jumper or finish around the basket.

Jaron Rillie (5’4 PG Timberline HS, ID) – terrific shooter with a great feel for the game.  Rillie understands how to get his shot off the dribble or moving without the ball.  He is also a great ball handler.

Spencer Schumacher (6’2 PF Prairie HS, ID) – tough rebounder and finisher in the paint.  Schumacher has good hands and a soft touch on his shot.
