Timberline (ID) Takes Out Capital
by Transition Hoops Report
Boise, Idaho - Capital High School at Timberline High School
Timberline came out on top of a very physical and hard nosed game. Both teams played really hard but Timberline’s senior leaders were too much for Capital. They started out the game making plays and held off every Capital run. It was obvious that Gibson Berryhill, Bryce Gonser, Isaiah Fisher and Ben Salcines have played in hundreds of games together.
Berryhill (6’0 SG 2015) was really patient, took excellent care of the ball, and he knocked down multiple 3’s. Gonser (6’3 PF 2015) attacked the basket hard and made plays around the rim. Fisher (5’8 PG 2015) handled Capital’s pressure and set up his teammates for easy buckets. And Salcines (6’4 SG 2015) knocked down 3’s with his smooth jumper. All four of them were great defensively and played to their strengths.
Capital sophomore Harrison Ashby (6’3 PF 2017) had a nice game. He rebounded out of his range, battled inside, and finished in traffic. Ashbey is continuing to improve as the season progresses
