Jenkins adding up offers plus some upsets

This week, another offer for a Washington player, yet another triple-double and a couple of big nights for players that lead to an upset of state powers. Plus a look at how Malek Harwell is doing after a return from knee surgery.


DeJounte Murray has continued his destruction of the state of Washington. He notched another tripled-double, this time against O'Dea with 20 points, 13 boards and 13 rebounds.

Then Murray and his Rainier Beach teammates locked up in a good mid-season match up against Eastside Catholic, a rematch of the State 3A title game from last year. Beach came out on top behind 26 points from Murray. Keep an eye on Keith Smith Jr. Smith sat out the second half after hearing a pop in his knee. EC's Matisse Thybulle scored 21 points in the loss. Mandrell Worthy sat out with an ankle injury.

Earlier in the week, Thybulle scored 27 and Max Hudgins scored 21 to beat West Seattle. Nate Pryor scored 30 in the loss.

David Jenkins added the University of San Diego to his list of offers.

In what may be considered an upset, Skyline beat Issaquah behind 26 points from Robert Beigaj. In the loss, Ty Gibson scored 28 and Trevon Ary-Turner scored 22.

Jalen McDaniels had a nice double-double in a win over Kentlake with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Jaylen Nowell continues to play well for Garfield. He scored 30 in a win over Lakeside. In 11 games the sophomore has averaged 30.7 ppg.

Dominic Green led Hazen to a win over Tyee with 27 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. He also scored 25 points with 17 boards in a win over Lindbergh. Connor O'Hearn added 26 points and 9 assists.

Penninsula's JaQuori McLaughlin led his team to a win over Auburn Moutainview with 38 points. Then he scored 22 points with 11 assists to beat Lakes. Teammate Jimmy Ritchie also scored 22 and grabbed 15 rebounds.

Steven Beo scored 26 points in a Richland win over Southridge.

Kendall Watson scored 26 points and pulled down 9 boards but Hanford lost to Walla Walla in OT.

Senior Alex Garcia scored 25 points to go with 9 rebounds to lead Kennewick over Hanford.

Mitchell Wetmoore had a couple of nice games this past week. He scored 33 in a win over Lakes and then 26 in a win over Auburn.

Charles Frazier scored 28 points and had 14 rebounds for Todd Beamer but it wasn't enough as Romaine Jackson scored 31 in the win for Kent Meridian. He had another double-double following that effort with 34 points and 10 rebounds against Kentwood but still came up a bit short of the win.

Mr. Double-Double William Luckett scored 23 points and had 13 rebounds in a Inglemoor win over Eastlake. In the loss Jordan Lester scored 30.

Jessie Norton scored 27 points for Vashon Island in a win over Bellevue Christian.

Dakari Jefferson had 20 points and 10 boards in a Clover Park win over Steilacoom.

Emerald Ridge's junior guard Raeshon Scales scored 31 points in a win over Puyallup.

Jordan Muir-Keung scored 28 to lead Shorewood past Meadowdale. Then he scored 25 to get the win against Interlake.

Malik Hampton scored 19 points and had 11 rebounds in a Rogers' (Spokane) loss to University.

Trevor Sperry and Tre'von Allen combined for 35 points in a Clarkston win over East Valley.

Match Burnham had 23 points, 12 rebounds in a Liberty win over Kettle Falls.


Highland's Stefan Gonzalez recently become the school's all time leading scorer.

Malek Harwell scored 37 points in a Century loss to Rigby.


Preston's Austin Smellie scored 38 points in a 2OT win over Pocatello.

Jerome's Jacob Lloyd scored 29 points to upset Buhl. Hayden Eckert scored 28 points in the loss.

Mountain Home's Jarek Schetzle had a solid double-double against Caldwell with 18 points and 16 rebounds.
