Renton's (WA) team effort gets win over Hazen

From Renton, Washington - Renton HS hosted Hazen HS

Renton broke the game open in the second half behind an inspired team effort.

Renton has several senior leaders that all made timely plays. Abdisamad Ali (5'11 PG 2015) hit some really big shots late. Ben Comer (5'8 PG 2015) also hit some shots, flew around on defense and grabbed rebounds amongst bigger players. Jordan Quigtar (5'8 PG 2015) is a quick guard with a good handle and made some great passes. And Wesley Edwards (6'3 C 2015) continued to battle inside all game and finished some tough shots.

For Hazen, Dominic Green (6'7 SG 2015) had a solid first half. While he was able to score often, it was his length on defense that was causing the most problems for Renton. He created multiple deflections in their press and blocked a lot of shots.

Jalen Green (6'3 SF 2018) was intriguing. He is still raw and needs to add strength, something you would expect from a young player. But he brings a lot of energy and seems to have a good feel for the game.
