Rocky Rallies to take District Title
by Transition Hoops Report
In the 5A Southern Idaho Conference district championship game, Rocky Mountain hung in all game and then made big plays down the stretch to pull out the win over Capital.
Rocky Mountain was led by Logan Skurdal, who made shots, great passes and smart plays on both sides of the ball. He got help from several teammates including big man Kolby Lee. Lee was much bigger and taller than every Capital player and dominated the paint. He has really soft hands and a good touch around the basket. Lee also got loose late for a couple nice dunks to finish out the win. Treighton Shepherd also had a nice game hitting several pull up jumpshots and playing tough defense on Capital's ball handlers.
Both teams qualified for the Idaho State Tournament and will play this Thursday at the Ford Idaho Center.
