Davis (WA) Grabs Important Win Over Moses Lake (WA)
by Transition Hoops Report
In a Big 9 match up, Davis gutted out a win over host Moses Lake. Davis’s Nikhil Lizotte (5'8 PG 2015) was the difference maker despite a nice performance from Moses Lake’s Tyson Karstetter (6'4 PF 2015).
Lizotte was a constant force for Davis, attacking the Moses Lake defense on every possession whether in transition or in their half court offense. He is quick enough to create on his own or come off a high ball screen. Once he got by the first defender he was dangerous in the paint, either finishing at the rim with a pull up or finding teammates. He passes well which is enhanced because he anticipates so well. He finished with 27 points.
For Moses Lake, Karstetter was the guy keeping them in the game. He ran the floor in the first half to get baskets. In the second half he scored with a soft left handed jump hook in the post. He finished a lot and also got to the free throw line.
