Coeur d' Alene (ID) Takes 5A IEL With Win Over Post Falls (ID)

by Transition Hoops Report

In a game to determine the champion of the 5A Inland Empire League, Coeur d’ Alene (ID) got a one point win over Post Falls (ID) behind the efforts of Devin Kluss (6’3 SF 2015) and Tony Naccarato (6’5 PF 2015). Post Falls got a great effort from Luke Anderson (6’0 SG 2015), who hit big shots to keep the Trojans in the game.

Kluss was productive all game in a variety of ways. He finished in transition, knocked down 15 footers and stepped out to hit 3-pointers, including a big one in the second half. He also showed that he is a strong rebounder and will crash the glass.

Naccarato got his offensive game going in the second half in the post. He used his body to get position and knows how to use his strength to finish through contact. When he can get his shot off with his right hand he is tough to stop and he also boarded hard.

Post Falls fell behind in the first half but the shooting of Luke Anderson kept them close. He knocked down a couple 3-pointers and pull up in the first half and then knocked down a critical 3 in the second half to give Post Falls their first, though brief, lead.

Post Falls also got a boost in the second half from Dalton Thompson (6’4 SF 2015). Thompson spent most of the game on the bench with foul trouble but when he was finally able to get freed up he hit some important shots.
