Borah's (ID) Big Third Sends Centennial (ID) To Loss

by Transition Hoops Report

Borah took over with a big run in the third quarter to pick up the Southern Idaho Conference win.  Isaiah Wright continues to be solid coming back from injury for Borah and Nick Reed knocked down the 3 ball.  Centennial was led by Austin Desaulniers perimeter shooting.  They are also going to get a boost the rest of the season with the return of Caleb Chapman from Texas.

Wright, a Utah signee, did a great job of getting to the line and setting up teammates.  He looked strong and poised for the stretch run for Borah.

Reed was also a big factor in Borah’s win. He stretched out the defense for Wright to have lanes to drive. And when his defender collapsed he knocked down 3 pointers.

Centennial’s DeSaulnier had a nice night shooting the ball.  He is a stretch 4 with a confident 3 point shot.  Throughout the game he hit multiple 3’s and mid range shots off the catch.

Point guard Caleb Chapman moved back to the Centennial district from Texas.  He showed a great feel for the game and the ability to drive and kick or finish shots in the lane.  As he gets more into the groove with the team he will definitely help them make a run during the district tournament.
