Timberline (ID) starts fast to beat Middleton (ID)
by Transition Hoops Report
From Timberline High School (Boise, ID), Timberline came out playing hard and fast and ultimately were too much for visiting Middleton.
Timberline's Gibson Berryhill (6'0 SG 2015) showed that he is a multidimensional player, starting the game by knocking down several shots off the catch and playing solid defense all night. He was also impressive in how hard he runs the floor, often after grabbing the defensive rebound himself. On a few occasions, Berryhill would catch and rip past his defender and get to the lane for a pull up jumper. The only knock on him this night was that on those pull ups he was passing up the jumper to force the ball to a teammate. The unselfish play was notable and considering the margin of victory, understandable.
We also got a chance to see a bit of what could be from Isaiah Fisher (5'8 PG 2015). Fisher is known as a quick defender with good handles but on this night he also knocked down consecutive 3-pointers in the first half that were great shots within their offense. While that part of his game still needs to become more consistent, he gave us a glimpse of what his game could translate to.
