Transition Hoops Report Directors
Clint and Vince Hordemann
Clint and Vince grew up in a gym watching their father, Greg Hordemann, coach some of the best high school teams in Idaho’s history. That is where they learned how to play the game and where their passion and love for basketball began. Side by side, they would help Centennial High School put together a perfect 26-0 record, a first at the 5A Classification. Following that season, Vince attended the University of Idaho as a walk-on to the basketball team and received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering before going on to receive his MBA from Georgia Tech. Clint finished his high school career as part of Eagle High School’s first graduating class. He would then go on to Clackamas Community College in Portland, Oregon. As a freshman Clint was an NWAACC South Division All-Conference Selection, which jumpstarted his career at Boise State University. As a redshirt sophomore Clint was awarded a basketball scholarship and remained on scholarship his last 3 years. Clint was elected by his teammates to be team captain as a junior. He graduated with a B.A. in Business Management.
After college, both Clint and Vince remained active in the basketball industry. Clint began his coaching career with Coach Trent Johnson at the University of Nevada-Reno and then returned to Boise working for the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development league. In the meantime, Vince was an assistant coach at Vallivue High School and then also went on to work for two years with the Idaho Stampede.
In 2002, Vince and Clint partnered together, coaching at the youth level and turning the Idaho Select Basketball program into a year round basketball club.
Over the last 30 years, Clint and Vince have built a large network of college, high school, and professional coaches. They have helped hundreds of high school kids get recruited to every level of college basketball. They understand the recruiting process as players, as coaches recruiting high school players and as consultants helping players that are going through the recruiting process. They have the expertise and experience that college coaches and scouts rely on when they are looking for quality players for their school while also having the ability to connect and educate youth players on the recruiting process. Between the two of them, Vince and Clint provide a thorough and trustworthy service that coaches, players and fans will find informative and helpful.
